How a pair is made
Every size is shaped on a wooden last in Sanganer before a single stitch goes in.
Full-grain hide is cut by hand so the grain runs with the foot, not against it.
Uppers are hand-stitched. A pair of jutis takes two artisans most of a day.
Beeswax, buffed in by hand. The colour deepens the more you wear them.
“My father cut the same leather on the same table. The only thing that changed is who it goes to.”Ramesh Chand · master cutter, 22 years
Brand system
Six values, pulled from the material itself — undyed khadi, vegetable-tanned hide, brass buckles, henna.
